The iControl program for 7-Eleven launched this morning with the Northeast Division, the first 7-Eleven division to participate.  North Pacific is expected to be the 2nd division, starting in May.  Consistent with its Retailer Initiative platform and its franchisee agreement, and provided a decision to opt-out is reached independently of and not under duress from any supplier, 7-Eleven franchisees are entitled to opt-out of the program without it jeopardizing or compromising their individual stores continued access to newspapers.  Suppliers who receive a request for a program exemption from a franchisee should immediately notify iControl in order to ensure the store is not double-billed.
